Job summary

Pioneer Motor Bearing Company, including the PMB Machine Works division, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up 5‑axis machines and convert complex drawings into precision parts for bearings and aerospace components. You will edit programs, verify tolerances, and ensure safety during crane-assisted loads.

Ideal candidates have journeyman capability or equivalent mix of trade/technical education and related experience, with strong math, geometric reasoning, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Fluent in 5-axis setup and operation; journeyman capability ideal.
• Trade/technical education or 5 years related experience; or equivalent mix.
• Comfort reading company, customer, and governmental specifications/regulations.
• Hands‑on with DMG MORI, Okuma, Hyundai, Fanuc (and related) equipment.
• Knowledge of turning, milling, finishes, tolerances; materials familiarity including steels and nonferrous alloys.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC 5-axis machines with correct tooling and offsets to manufacture/repair bearings and aerospace/defense parts.
• Turn blueprints, sketches, drawings, and verbal direction into precise parts.
• Apply geometric and mathematical problem‑solving to plan setups and validate results.
• Measure precisely with dial calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, and indicators.
• Edit programs at the control to correct issues; document every change.
• Raise risks to quality, delivery, or customer needs early and offer solutions.
• Interpret complex technical drawings with confidence and safety in load/unload operations.
• Safely load/unload heavy parts using overhead cranes and proper rigging.
