CyberCoders is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join our Houston practice. The candidate will manage a diverse caseload including maritime/Jones Act claims, DBA/Longshore cases, and general tort matters, from intake through resolution or trial.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to Texas bar.
• 3+ years of litigation experience in personal injury.
• Jones Act experience preferred.
• Ability to handle pre-litigation negotiations and courtroom litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage PI caseload including maritime/Jones Act and DBA/Longshore.
• Conduct client intake, investigate facts, gather evidence, and evaluate claims.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court documents with deadlines.
• Advise clients on options and settlements, maintaining regular communication.
• Handle pre-litigation negotiations and settlement discussions with insurers.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials; represent clients ethically.
• Collaborate with experts and medical professionals to build strong cases.
• Perform legal research and stay current on PI and maritime law developments.
• Work with support staff on document production, billing, and case management.
• Mentor junior attorneys and paralegals and contribute to BD and client intake initiatives.
