Jobot in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Maritime/Jones Act Litigation Paralegal to support an associate attorney on Louisiana maritime matters. You’ll manage cases from intake through litigation, settlements, and resolution while coordinating with clients, medical providers, and insurance representatives.

This in-office role offers ownership of cases, the chance to work on high-stakes plaintiff litigation, and a fast-paced environment with a strong support team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a law firm environment.
• E-filing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of calendaring, court deadlines, and litigation procedures.
• Maritime/Jones Act experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support an associate attorney managing Louisiana maritime and Jones Act matters.
• Manage assigned cases from intake through litigation, settlement, and resolution.
• Serve as an ongoing point of contact for clients and provide case updates.
• Gather and maintain client, accident, employment, vessel, insurance, and treatment information.
• Coordinate medical treatment and follow up with clients to ensure treatment stays on track.
• Prepare and complete electronic court filings; assist with pleadings, discovery, and subpoenas.
