Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active law license in good standing.
• Meaningful hands-on Jones Act, maritime, or admiralty litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage maritime and Jones Act matters through active litigation.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, seaman status, and other maritime-specific issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage written discovery, document production, experts, records, and evidence.
• Communicate directly with clients throughout the litigation process.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to manage deadlines and move cases forward.
• Handle matters involving maritime injuries, offshore accidents, vessel incidents, wrongful death, and other complex plaintiff litigation.
• Maintain ownership of deadlines and priorities while managing a significant caseload.
