Herschend seeks an enthusiastic Server to join Jolene’s, an 85-seat lounge on the top floor of Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in Downtown Nashville. The role focuses on providing excellent dining experiences, with duties including setting up dining spaces, mastering beverage and food menus, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has 6 months of related experience, can obtain Serve Safe/TABC certification, is at least 21, and can pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of previous job-related experience.
• Serve Safe/TABC Server Certification required (obtainable).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests to create exceptional dining experiences.
• Set up and close dining areas with supplies stocked.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage and food menus.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary dining environment per health codes.
• Perform service, busser, and runner duties as needed.
• Adhere to Heartspitality® standards and participate in upsell strategies.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Checks with Manager for daily objectives
• Properly settingup/closing downthe dining spaces with accuracy and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked
• Provide excellent dining experiences for our guests through proper steps of service
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the beverage menu including spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the food menu
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
• Performs service,busserand runner duties as appropriate
• Must be willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management
• UsesPOS accurately. Handles card transactions as directed
• Participate in upsell strategies as directed by management
• Participates in daily line ups
• Practices service standards and current training throughout service
