Job summary

BetMGM in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Security Officer to deter and respond to security threats and emergencies onsite. The role requires training, physical conditioning, and adherence to policies. Immediate placement is not guaranteed as roles are filled from a network of candidates.

You will patrol, assist guests and staff, manage incident reporting, and participate in drills to ensure safety and compliance. This position is onsite with a focus on life safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license as a condition of hire.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement background preferred.
• Experience in a resort setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior.
• ID incoming patrons entering sportsbook and monitor surveillance.
• Provide excellent guest service and resolve issues for guests and staff.
• Act as a first responder in emergencies and follow safety protocols.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Relay information to appropriate personnel via radio or phone.
• Render first aid and secure the scene during incidents.
• Maintain equipment proficiency and participate in ongoing training.

The Opportunity

About the Role

Security Officers act as a visual deterrent and intervene and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats.

This position requires specialized training and physical conditioning. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

The listed role is an example of one of the typical roles that BetMGM may hire for once positions are available. Cincinnati, OH (Fully Onsite)

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior
• I.D. all incoming patrons entering sportsbook
• Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
• Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences
• Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios
• Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and following established protocol for reporting injuries
• Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
• Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employment
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Valid Driver License
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
• Ability to gain and maintain a Gaming License through the proper regulatory bodies as a condition of hire and continued employment

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $21.25. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.
