Job summary

Capital Search Group is seeking a Staff Accountant for our client in Falls Church, VA. The role reports to an Assistant Controller and will handle AP/AR, month-end close, and financial reporting duties.

Ideal candidates have public accounting exposure and CPA is preferred but not required. The compensation targets $80K–$100K plus bonus and equity, with generous benefits including healthcare and 401K match.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-growing environment preferred
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Understanding of internal controls and accounting policies

Responsibilities

• Manage AP/AR processes and month-end close tasks
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages
• Support internal controls documentation and accounting policy adherence
• Record journal entries and GL reconciliations
• Assist with audits and accounting research as needed
• Support Assistant Controller and team on ad-hoc analyses

Job description

Our growing client, a software start up, located in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Staff Accountant. This will report into an Assistant Controller (great mentor, ex public accounting/CPA). Duties include AP/AR, month end close tasks, financial reporting, support internal controls/documenting accounting policies, reconciliations, journal entries, and GL accounting support.

This is a fast-growing company, with opportunity to grow with the firm.

Public accounting and CPA is preferred but not required.

Compensation targeted at $80K – $100K + bonus + equity
