Job summary

Search Group is supporting a Falls Church, VA software startup in recruiting a Senior Accountant who will report to an Assistant Controller. You will handle GL accounting, financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close, plus ad-hoc FP&A and due diligence on acquisition targets.

CPA/public accounting preferred but not required. Compensation is targeted at $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus and equity; benefits include 100% employee healthcare, 50% dependents, 401(k) match,

Qualifications

• Experience with US GAAP and monthly close.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• GL accounting and financial reporting.
• Journal entries and reconciliations.
• Month-end close management.
• Due diligence on acquisition targets.
• Ad-hoc FP&A (budgeting, forecasting) and billing.
