Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on end-of-life care in South Austin, Bastrop, San Marcos, Buda, Kyle and Wimberley. You will work with our nursing team to ensure patient comfort, dignity, and respectful support in the home.

The role requires a CNA with CPR, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Texas CNA certificate, plus at least one year of related experience. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver’s license, auto insurance, dependable transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the care plan to ensure patient comfort.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing.
• Be dedicated to customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guidance for end-of-life care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in home health and agency records.

Are you a caring and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact? Altus Hospiceis seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hand-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 ma - 4:30 pm

Coverage Area: South Austin, Bastrop, San Marcos, Buda, Kyle and Wimberley

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. Your dedication to providing outstanding care will be valued and celebrated as part of our team.
• Provide Support for Families: Impact patients' families by sharing your knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones. Your presence offers confidence and reassurance during this challenging time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
