Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on, compassionate care to patients at the end of life. You’ll work with our nursing team to meet physical, emotional, and personal needs with dignity and respect in patients’ homes within Marble Falls and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a current CNA certification, CPR, and at least one year of CN A experience in acute or long-term care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current unencumbered CNA certificate in the state.
• Minimum one year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice a plus.
• CPR certification current if state-mandated.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: follow the plan of care to ensure comfort and well-being of patients.
• Assist with Personal Care: bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: deliver compassionate, patient-centered service.
• Provide Support for Families: guide and support families in caring for loved ones.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: document care per agency standards.

Altus Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands‑on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Coverage Area: Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Kingsland, LLano, Burnet, Bertram, Lampasas and Johnson City

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to requests of patients and their families/caregivers, offering compassionate and unwavering support.


• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.


• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.


• Provide Support for Families: Impact patients’ families by sharing knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.


• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Every detail is crucial to deliver high‑quality care, both in the patient's home and within our agency and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.


• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.


• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long‑term care setting. Hospice experience a plus.


• Possession of and maintenance of current CPR certification if state‑mandated.


• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable transportation.

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
