Job summary

Altus Hospice Care is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) in the South Austin area. You will work closely with the nursing team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care in patients' homes or designated locations.

The role requires a CNA certificate, CPR (as required), and reliable transportation. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, serving South Austin, Bastrop, San Marcos, Buda, Kyle and Wimberley.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Current unencumbered C.N.A. certificate in the state.
• Minimum one year experience as a CNA in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.
• CPR certification current if state mandates.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampoos.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and compassionate support to patients and families.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guiding them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in home care, agency, and regulatory records.

Altus Hospice is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 ma - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
