Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team in the Bastrop area, providing hands-on care to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a CNA.
• Minimum one year experience as a CNA in acute or long-term care; hospice is a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the plan of care to ensure comfort and well-being of patients and support for their family/caregiver.
• Assist with Personal Care: Help with bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing, and shampooing to maintain comfort and dignity.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Provide Support for Families: Guide and support families caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Record details accurately in home care and agency records.

Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Schedule: Per Diem, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Coverage Area: Bastrop, S Austin, Buda, Kyle, Wimberley, Lockhart, Dripping Springs, Westlake and Beecave

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state‑mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
