Qualifications

• Experience with job cost accounting in construction or project-based industries.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with budgets, WIPs, and cost coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Setup jobs, phases and cost code structures with original budgets.
• Enter change orders and budget revisions accurately.
• Code and post labor, materials, subcontractor invoices and freight to correct job cost codes.
• Allocate and reconcile internal equipment usage and third-party rental charges.
• Assist with monthly WIP schedules and cost-to-complete calculations.
• Support progress billing, pay apps, lien waivers, and retainage tracking.
• Reconcile job cost subledgers to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closes and audit requests.
• Maintain subcontractor and vendor compliance records (W-9s, COIs, 1099s).
• Run job margin, unit cost and productivity reports; flag overruns.

AbouttheRole

Weareseekingadetail-orientedJobCostAccountanttojoinouraccountingteam.Thisroleisresponsibleformaintainingaccuratejobcoststructures,budgets,andreportingacrossactiveconstruction/projectwork,ensuringcostsareproperlycoded,reconciled,andreportedtosupportprojectmanagersandcompanyleadershipintrackingjobperformance.

KeyResponsibilities

• Setupjobs,phaseandcostcodestructures,andoriginalbudgetsinthejobcostsystem.
• Enterchangeordersandbudgetrevisions.
• Codeandpostequipmenthours,materials,subcontractorinvoices,trucking,andfueltothecorrectjobandcostcode.
