Job summary

REACHING BEYOND LIMITS is seeking a per diem Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and learning disabilities in developing workplace skills and independence. This flexible, part-time role fits around existing schedules, with no guaranteed hours and varying opportunities at client sites.

You will collaborate with employers, provide on-site training, monitor progress, and advocate for accommodations as needed, helping clients achieve employment goals while promoting self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years' experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or ASD.
• Valid Driver's License and Car Insurance.

We're looking for a per diem Job Coach to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone looking for FLEXIBLE, PART-TIME work that can fit around their existing schedule. As a Job Coach, you'll support individuals in developing workplace skills, gaining independence, and successfully reaching their employment goals while making a meaningful difference in their lives. There is no guarantee of hours and hours may vary based on client needs and available opportunities.

This position is ideal for someone looking to supplement another job, work around school or family commitments, or simply have the flexibility of an occasional part-time position without a set weekly schedule. Summary

A Job Coach is responsible for providing individualized support and guidance to individuals with intellectual and learning disabilities to help them achieve and maintain meaningful employment. The Job Coach will collaborate with employers to foster an inclusive work environment, provide on-site training and support, and advocate for accommodations when necessary. Additionally, they will monitor progress, offer constructive feedback, and ensure clients achieve their employment goals while promoting independence and self-sufficiency. This role requires strong communication, patience, creativity, and a genuine commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workforce.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2 years' experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or ASD
• Valid Driver's License and Car Insurance

Physical Requirements

• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email
• Ability to lift or carry typically up to 20 pounds
• Visual and auditory ability to read documents, observe client behavior, and engage in conversations

Work Environment

• Work is typically performed in community locations and employer sites
• May involve exposure to various work environments, including industrial, retail, or service settings, depending on client placement
• Interaction with clients, employers, and community partners may require sensitivity, adaptability, and occasional conflict resolution
