Job summary

Clarity Care, a nonprofit organization in Wisconsin, seeks a dedicated Job Coach to support individuals with varying abilities at community employment sites. You will coach, train, and document progress, helping clients achieve independence and meaningful work in a respectful, empowering environment.

You will need a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid WI driver’s license, and the ability to pass caregiver background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent required.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with ability to meet agency driving standards and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass Wisconsin Caregiver Background Checks and any applicable out-of-state checks.
• Experience working with people who have physical and/or mental disabilities and crisis de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive role model and coach to clients, teaching problem-solving, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and independent living skills.
• Learn each client’s needs and support them in meeting goals in their employment setting; provide training and guidance individually and in group sessions.
• Hold a flexible schedule to meet client and employer needs and document client behaviors in the workplace.
• Help clients pursue goals through self-direction and effective decision-making.

Must provide proof of autoinsurance.Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Check including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks,and/or that of previous states of residence.Knowledge of and ability to intervene appropriately in crisis prevention and de-escalation when necessary.Experience working with people who have physical and mental disabilities.
