Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP). The role focuses on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently within their communities.

You will help with daily living activities and implement ISPs to align with each client’s goals. The position offers flexible hours including full-time, part-time, and per diem options, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid training required (to be completed through approved providers).
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with job applications and job training.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
