Job summary

American Training in Wakefield, MA is seeking a full-time Job Coach for our Day Services program to support adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their employment goals.

You will build relationships with employers, teach life and job skills, and help Guests gain independence in line with ISP objectives. A valid driver’s license and CORI are required; one year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with people with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities.
• Experience as a Job Coach is a plus.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage.
• CORI required.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with employers and act as liaison between Guests and employers.
• Teach, train, and guide Guests in life skills and job skills, individually and in groups.
• Support Guests to increase independence in accordance with ISP goals.
• Develop detailed job task evaluations for a variety of jobs in different industries.
