Job summary

American Training in Wakefield, MA is seeking a full-time Job Coach for our Day Services program to support adults with developmental disabilities in pursuing meaningful employment and life goals.

You will build relationships with employers, provide life and job skills training, and help Guests increase independence through ISP-driven tasks, with a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule and a rewarding nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with people with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities.
• One year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy including word processing and data sheets.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle and appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with employers and act as liaison between Guests and employers.
• Teach, train, guide and direct Guests in life skills and job skills in individual and group settings.
• Support Guests in increasing independence according to ISP goals.
• Develop detailed job task evaluations for various jobs across industries.
