Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of full-time investment banking experience in infrastructure/energy sectors.

• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Junior Investment Associate — Energy, Infrastructure & Renewables Houston

A leading international mid-cap infrastructure private capital fund is seeking an Investment Associate to join its Houston-based investment team.

The firm is an established investor with a strong regional presence and a track record of investing across the energy, infrastructure, and renewables sectors. The team operates in a collaborative, high-performance environment, offering Associates meaningful responsibility, exposure to the full investment lifecycle, and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role across the full investment process, including deal screening, financial analysis and modeling, industry and market research, due diligence, and investment evaluation.
• Conduct detailed sector and market analysis, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and contribute to the development of investment theses.
• Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation, returns, sensitivity, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
• Prepare and develop investment committee memoranda, presentations, and other materials supporting investment decisions and fundraising activities.
• Work closely with management teams, financial and legal advisors, lenders, counterparties, and other external stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
• Take ownership of key analytical workstreams while working closely with senior investment professionals and contributing to broader team objectives.
• Support portfolio company and asset-level analysis, as required, following investment completion.

Requirements

• Approximately 2 years of full-time experience in investment banking, ideally with exposure to infrastructure, energy, power, renewables, or related sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with experience building or reviewing models relevant to energy and/or infrastructure investments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workstreams independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality analysis under time pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior stakeholders and external counterparties.
• Strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine interest in infrastructure, energy, renewables, and real assets investing.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute effectively within a high-performing investment team.
