Job summary

ASCENDING in Richmond, VA is seeking an Associate Business Application Administrator to support Jira Service Management (JSM). You will troubleshoot defects, manage user access, and collaborate with Agile teams to implement scalable service-management solutions.

The ideal candidate has 12+ months of hands-on JSM administration, strong workflow development skills, and excellent communication to translate business needs into configurations. This is a Hybrid role with three days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 12+ months hands-on Jira Service Management administration.
• Experience developing and enhancing JSM workflows, including forms, automations, approvals, assets.
• Experience with user access management and code/configuration migration in JSM.
• Strong understanding of JSM capabilities and Atlassian product suite.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment with BAs, SCRUM Masters, QA, and tech stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and business users.
• Proven ability to prioritize and resolve incidents and enhancement requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the Jira Service Management platform, including user access and configurations.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and incidents in JSM workflows and forms.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy workflow improvements and automated processes.
• Support code/configuration migration activities across JSM environments.
• Collaborate with BAs, Scrum Masters, QA, and developers in Agile sprints.
• Gather, clarify, and document requirements from stakeholders.
• Demonstrate solutions and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
