Job summary

Allen Control Systems in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Atlassian Administrator to own Jira and Confluence configuration, governance, and continuous improvement across engineering, IT, operations and manufacturing.

You will design scalable workflows, standardize project creation, and minimize sprawl while partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reliable Atlassian solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Jira/Confluence administration in an enterprise setting.
• Experience translating business needs into scalable Atlassian configurations.
• Strong knowledge of workflows, permissions, and governance.
• Familiarity with security, auditing, and change-management requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator for Jira and Confluence; configure projects, workflows, screens, fields, and permissions.
• Administer Confluence spaces, templates, and content governance.
• Translate requirements into scalable Jira/Confluence solutions; enforce standards for projects and spaces.
• Evaluate requests for new workflows/plugins; develop automation to reduce manual work and improve data quality.
• Manage access, groups, roles, and licensing; support integrations with Slack, GitHub, SSO, and other apps.
• Troubleshoot issues; monitor health, maintain docs, and assist with upgrades and migrations.
