Job summary

Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana, seeks a full-time Jewelry and Metalsmithing instructor to teach courses in 3D Jewelry Design, CAD, Wax Modeling and Casting, Stone Setting, and Jewelry Repair within a studio setting. Responsibilities include curriculum development, advising, program oversight, collaboration with faculty, and active participation in assessment and transfer pathways.

A Master’s degree in a closely related field is required; MFA and several years of teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a closely related field is required.
• MFA and several years of teaching studio courses are preferred.
• Experience with instructional technology and transfer pathways is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Teach jewelry and metalsmithing content at multiple levels in a studio setting.
• Develop and revise curriculum; oversee jewelry programs and adjunct recruitment as needed.
• Advise students and coordinate with FVCC Advising Liaison on transfer pathways; participate in assessment.
