Job summary

Central Texas College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor - Metals to teach in the Fine Arts Department. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Studio Art with Metals and has professional metalsmithing experience.

You may also teach a 3-D Design course as needed and will work part-time on a semester basis. The role requires delivering engaging instruction, maintaining course syllabi and records, and using Blackboard for communication and assignment submission.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with 18 graduate hours in Studio Art with Metals as part of that degree.
• Experience in metalsmithing using techniques in jewelry design and metal construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person instruction on basic processes, including shaping, cutting, forming, and other construction techniques.
• Demonstrate expressive and conceptual approaches using various metals.
• Prepare for in-class activities and evaluate students' work.
• Maintain accurate class records and submit final grade reports as required.
