Sigma Design is seeking an Embedded Linux Platform Engineer to lead Jetson OS image build, validation, and publishing for NVIDIA AGX platforms. This in-office role requires hands-on work with embedded Linux, kernel-level debugging, and hardware bring-up to support robotics software development.

The candidate will upgrade components, diagnose OS-level issues, and automate tasks with Bash/Python while collaborating with platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years supporting Linux systems, embedded Linux platforms, or embedded hardware environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux kernels, package management, boot loaders, and device trees.
• Experience with embedded/edge hardware platforms including firmware flashing and hardware debugging.
• Experience troubleshooting build failures, driver issues, and OS-level problems.
• Proficient in Bash and/or Python for automation and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem (JetPack SDK, CUDA) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication and teamwork skills.
• Post-offer background verification is required.

Responsabilités

• Execute and maintain the Jetson OS image build process for NVIDIA AGX Orin and AGX Thor.
• Perform validation of OS images before release, including boot verification and driver checks.
• Upgrade OS components (kernel, BSP, drivers, system packages) ensuring hardware compatibility.
• Diagnose and resolve OS-level build, boot, and driver issues.
• Perform firmware flashing, hardware bring-up, and serial debugging on embedded platforms.
• Maintain and improve build/validation documentation and automate repetitive tasks.
• Develop scripts (Bash/Python) to support build automation, log analysis, and validation.
• Collaborate with robotics/platform teams to ensure OS readiness for hardware platforms.
• Follow policies to protect data and reduce security incidents.
