Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced embedded Linux software expert to accelerate Jetson platform development in Santa Clara, CA. You will define Jetson capabilities, work across hardware, firmware, and Linux kernel layers, and guide a global software team on system‑level architectures for complex SoM embedded designs.

You will lead the build and improvement of scalable, secure system services, drive high‑quality code in C/C++/Python/Bash, and mentor engineers while partnering with product design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Master’s with 5+ years in Linux and embedded systems
• 8+ years of industry experience developing embedded products through a full lifecycle
• Strong collaboration and ability to guide multiple teams
• Hands-on development with C/C++/Python/Bash and mentoring others

Responsibilities

• Define and expose Jetson capabilities and bring AI at-the-edge platform to life
• Contribute from hardware analysis through boot firmware to Linux kernel and OS, including specialized software SDKs
• Lead a worldwide software team and collaborate with hardware and product design teams
• Build, implement, and improve system services for scalability, reliability, efficiency, and security
• Resolve complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges
• Participate in a product development lifecycle with high standards for requirements, software quality, and performance
