Job summary

Pratt & Whitney at the Columbus Engine Center is seeking a Mechanic to overhaul, repair, and assemble jet engines. You will work in a hands-on, team-based environment to restore engines to peak performance and reliability on a Friday–Sunday weekend shift (6:30am–7:00pm).

You will perform maintenance on turbine engines and components, following published data, and use tools and fixtures while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: aviation engine overhaul and repair experience.
• A&P License or Powerplant Certificate is desirable.
• Hands-on experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, or turbine engine test operations.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team on turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance per instructions and data.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble/disassemble and test a jet engine.
• Ensure work meets Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives and undergo self/peer inspection when required.
