Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney DO organization is seeking an Assembly Process Engineer for the DO shop floor in Florida. The role involves creating and maintaining assembly work instructions, improving processes, and troubleshooting engine assembly issues, with a two-year Engineering Development Program rotation across DO and PSCV.

You will participate in an EDP that broadens experience before permanent placement in the Assembly Process Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Leadership and strong communication skills evident in team settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required, start date by start date.
• Travel up to 10% must be possible.

Responsibilities

• Create and approve jet engine assembly procedures per engineering requirements and Engine Development Plans
• Support the Assembly Floor through ownership of assembly instructions and troubleshooting of issues in coordination with Operations and Engineering disciplines
• Develop, implement, and validate robust new processes to ensure production readiness
• Grow technical proficiency in engine hardware, assembly methods, and assembly equipment
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve safety and efficiency in assembly activities
