Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Jet Bridge Technician I at Washington Dulles International Airport. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Jet Bridges, PCAir units, GPUs, and related HVAC systems, ensuring critical airport infrastructure remains operational.

This developmental role offers hands-on training, with a path to Journey-level status and opportunities to pursue Master Electrician and Master HVAC licenses while documenting activities

Qualifications

• Journey level skill with four years in repair/maintenance of Ground Power Units and PCAir systems up to 670V.
• Ability to read electrical schematics/diagrams and troubleshoot electrical components.
• Experience servicing HVAC systems and related electrical/electronic controls.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations for refrigerant handling.
• Ability to analyze data and use CMMS for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair Jet Bridges, GPUs, and PCAIR assets.
• Use drawings and schematics to service hydraulic, mechanical, and steering systems.
• Troubleshoot circuits and replace faulty electrical components.
• Perform HVAC maintenance and refrigerant handling per EPA rules.
• Document activities in CMMS and prepare labor and parts estimates.
• Operate PBBs, lifts, GPUs, PCAIR units, and other equipment.
• Respond to trouble calls and perform on-site repairs.
