Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in East Alton, IL to handle maintenance on civilian aircraft. The role covers mechanical tasks, panel work, troubleshooting, de-fueling, and engine work in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and relevant licenses; AMT levels I–IV outline progressive experience. Company offers comprehensive benefits and a structured growth path with potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I.
• 0-2 years of aviation maintenance experience (Amt I).
• 2-4 years of aviation maintenance experience (Amt II).
• 4-6+ years of aviation maintenance experience (Amt III).
• Airframe and Powerplant license required for AMT IV (Master).

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Perform engine removals and installations.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist in taxiing and aircraft movement.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
