Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift in East Alton, IL.

The role covers troubleshooting, removal/installation of components, inspections, and operation of ground support equipment, with opportunities to advance through AMT levels. Applicants should hold at least an Airframe license (Powerplant preferred) and have 0–6+ years in aviation maintenance, with supervision varying by level.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; 2–4 years for AMT II; 4–6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Maintain shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Communicate effectively in English.
