Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our East Alton team. You will perform mechanical tasks, service panels, and troubleshoot diverse aircraft systems, while supporting engine work and ground operations.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred.
• 0–2 years of aviation maintenance experience invited.
• Airframe or Powerplant license holder with supervision needs.
• Basic computer skills to access manuals and training data.
• Ability to read, understand and follow maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system issues.
• De-fueling aircraft and engine removal/installation as needed.
• Operate ground support equipment and assist in taxiing.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Maintain shop facilities, tools, and equipment.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and databases.
• Communicate clearly in English; follow safety rules.
