Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to work on Bombardier aircraft at the East Alton, IL facility. The role covers electrical/mechanical/hydraulic systems, inspections, and routine maintenance in a fast-paced MRO environment.

You will replace and repair parts, troubleshoot systems, and ensure compliance with FAA guidelines. A high school diploma and an Airframe/Powerplant license are required, with progression through Amt I–IV levels based on experience.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license preferred for Amt I/II.
• Amt III/IV require higher experience and license scope.
• 0–2+ years of aviation maintenance experience depending on level.
• Must work under supervision for entry levels; more independent for senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve aircraft system/component issues.
• De-fuel aircraft and perform engine removals/ installations.
• Operate ground support equipment and navigate maintenance data bases.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; assist with taxiing and performance runs.
