Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Mixer on the production floor. The role involves operating mixer, conveyors, and robot, and ensuring batch tickets are completed for traceability.

You will adjust water and yeast to stabilize dough quality according to temperature and humidity, with supervision as needed. As a key member of the team, you will perform sanitation, monitor dough quality, and assist in training new operators while supporting other areas as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge required.
• Ability to lift 20–50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixer, conveyors, and robot on the production floor.
• Read and complete batch tickets for lot tracking and traceability.
• Make adjustments to water and yeast based on temperature and humidity, with minimal supervision.
• Perform sanitation of all mixing equipment and keep work areas clean.
• Monitor dough quality and identify issues; adjust processes as needed.
• Train new mixer operators and stay updated on procedures.
• Assist in other areas as directed by supervisor.
• Climb step ladders as required.

Summary:

The Mixer is responsible for continuously monitoring and adjusting the product to ensure it is up to Newly Weds Foods, Inc.'s standards.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform all phases of the mixing operation including, but not limited to, knowledge of location and types of ingredients, measuring and weighing processes, reading and understanding batch tickers.
• Has the knowledge and ability to make appropriate adjustments of water and yeast relative to temperature and humidity, without direct assistance and with minimal supervision.
• Operates mixer, conveyors, and robot.
• Completes batch tickets for lot tracking and traceability
• Requires climbing step ladders.
• Performs sanitation of all mixing equipment
• Lifts 20- 50 lb. bags.
• Must be able to monitor the dough quality and identify problems and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in training new mixer operators and must stay up to date on new work methods and job procedures
• Assist in other work areas as directed by supervisor.

Salary:

• $20.21 - $25.27 an hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School of GED equivalent required.
• Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge required.

Work Environment:

The job is performed on the production floor area where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
