Job summary

Newly Weds Foods, Inc. seeks a Mixer to monitor and adjust the mixing process, ensuring the product meets company standards. You will manage water and yeast adjustments related to temperature and humidity, while observing dough quality and making timely corrections.

The role involves training new mixer operators, following updated procedures, and supporting other areas as directed by the supervisor. Strong English communication and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; read and write in English.
• Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge; food manufacturing experience desired.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand long periods, bend, twist, stoop; climb ladders/ platforms if needed.
• Ability to give and follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Mixer is responsible for continuously monitoring and adjusting the product to ensure it is up to Newly Weds Foods, Inc.’s standards.

Essential Functions

• Ability to perform all phases of the mixing operation including, but not limited to, knowledge of location and types of ingredients, measuring and weighing processes, reading and understanding batch tickers.
• Has the knowledge and ability to make appropriate adjustments of water and yeast relative to temperature and humidity, without direct assistance and with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to monitor the dough quality and identify problems and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in training new mixer operators and must stay up to date on new work methods and job procedures.
• Assist in other work areas as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education, training, or experience (GED).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; must be able to read and write in English.
• Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge required. (previous food manufacturing experience desired)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, stoop. Climb on the ladder and platform if necessary.
• Ability to give and follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
