Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a software engineer to design and develop Java applications, maintain baselines, and provide system software analysis. The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/EE or related field, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance; travel about 10% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a tech field is required.
• Knowledge of at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java (preferably C++).
• Candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Experience with version control, build tools, and IDEs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new Java applications; maintain existing Java applications.
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines.
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products; complex problem resolution.
• Work from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, debugging and documentation of programs.
