Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 2 years of relevant work experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Ability to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
• Strong Java/J2EE experience or OO development experience; knowledge of C++ also desired
• Understanding of Use Cases and SysML diagrams; strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support for systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and user support
• Develop or modify operating system applications from specifications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation of programs
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems and improve OS efficiency
• Design, code, test, and implement tools for operational automation
• Contribute across most software system phases and adapt to unanticipated tasks
• Show flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks
