Job summary

CCG is seeking an experienced Production Support (Java) / ProdOps Engineer in Las Vegas, NV. You will own production stability for enterprise Java microservices, monitor system health, and automate deployment pipelines to ensure high availability.

Ideal candidates have a strong Java/J2EE background, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to on-call incident response. The role requires collaboration with DevOps and engineering teams and immediate availability in Las Vegas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Java production support, software engineering, or ProdOps.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems, server logs, and SQL.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Clear communication under pressure; available for full-time in Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production Java applications, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve critical production incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze logs, thread dumps, heap dumps, and database execution plans for RCA.
• Debug Java/J2EE code, REST APIs, and SQL queries for rapid hotfixes.
• Manage incident lifecycle, escalation, and ticket resolution in enterprise platforms.
• Automate routine tasks and health checks; maintain CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 incident response.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy hotfixes from staging to production.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and post-mortem reports.
• Adhere to security baselines, privacy standards, and change control.
