Job summary

Citi is seeking a Java Developer (Apps Dev Intermediate Programmer Analyst) to join its Technology team in Irving, TX. The role involves hands-on development across the full SDLC in an Agile setting, delivering secure, scalable application solutions and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Hybrid work will be offered, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. The team focuses on Java, API design, and enterprise-scale systems, while providing growth and learning opportunities within Citi's

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an applications development role with production-quality code.
• Experience building apps with Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs across distributed systems.
• Proficiency in SQL querying and relational databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features using Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Build, consume and maintain RESTful APIs for integration across systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data-driven apps.
• Identify vulnerabilities and perform testing and debugging.
• Participate in all SDLC phases in an Agile environment.
• Implement asynchronous patterns and messaging queues for scalable architectures.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and team members.
• Evaluate decisions with a risk-aware lens for policy compliance.
