Citi is seeking a Java Developer to join its Technology team in Irving, TX. You’ll contribute across the full SDLC in an Agile, collaborative setting, building and securing application systems for global financial operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an applications development role delivering production-quality code.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs across distributed systems.
• Relational databases and SQL query troubleshooting.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective technical solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop application features and system enhancements using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs for integration across systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases and data-driven functionality.
• Analyze existing applications to identify vulnerabilities and conduct testing and debugging.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC within an Agile framework.
• Implement asynchronous programming patterns and messaging queues for scalable architectures.
• Act as SME for stakeholders, guiding design and problem resolution.
• Evaluate business and technical decisions with a risk-aware lens.
