Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Java Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology delivery initiatives and ensure high-quality service delivery. You will collaborate with clients, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to manage programs across globally distributed teams.

You will drive Agile practices, oversee incident management, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize performance.

Qualifications

16- to 18-year IT experience with at least 3 years in service delivery, PM, incident management, and client relationship management.
Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices background.
Experience delivering enterprise apps on OpenShift and AWS platforms.
Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent development projects across geographies.
Demonstrated success in client stakeholder management and governance.
Experience with Agile delivery and cross-functional teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end service delivery activities and align with SLAs and client expectations.
Manage multiple application development projects simultaneously across planning, execution, risk, and delivery.
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics; provide weekly/monthly status updates to stakeholders.
Drive incident and problem management with timely resolution and escalation management.
Lead, mentor, and develop delivery and engineering teams for collaboration and improvement.
Partner with global client stakeholders and cross-functional teams across geographies to ensure successful execution.
Champion Agile delivery practices and improve efficiency through optimization and automation.
Identify and implement Generative AI-driven automation opportunities for productivity gains.
