Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Columbus to join the Global Technology team. You will design and deliver scalable Java-based solutions on AWS, advancing secure, resilient systems and data-driven features for customers and clients.

As part of an agile team, you’ll leverage AI-assisted tooling, contribute to architecture, and help improve code quality through peer review and testing. This role is based in Columbus with day shifts and a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in Java; strong knowledge of AWS Cloud.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern languages and SQL.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and evaluating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure handling of data and inputs/outputs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, application resiliency and security practices.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI, ML, mobile domains.

Responsibilities

• Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java and AWS.
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and formal troubleshooting.
• Uses AI-assisted tooling with peer review, testing and secure coding standards.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value realization.
• Creates secure production code and maintains algorithms aligned with system needs.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts ensuring constraints are met by software.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to visualize and report for continuous improvement.
• Identifies data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities and events exploring new technologies.
• Supports team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
