Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is inviting applications to establish a pool for associate faculty assignments in World Languages. These roles may be temporary, part-time or on-call, with no remote-only positions.

Assignments are hourly and may be up to 67% of a full-time load, including evening or hybrid formats. Compensation is based on hourly salary schedules, with initial step placement at Step 1, and benefits such as medical insurance for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications as listed: Master's degree in Japanese; OR a Bachelor's degree in Japanese; AND a Master's degree in another language or linguistics; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied California Community College Instructor's Credential in Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, which may include evening, weekend, online or hybrid and/or off-campus assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
• Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
