A major Japanese logistic company located in Compton, California (LA) is seeking a Software Engineer (Full-Stack）。

Seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in driving the development, operation, and maintenance of our in-house Warehouse Management System (WMS). In this role, you will initially serve as an immediate contributor to rapidly clear our growing backlog of WMS development requests while driving improvements in overall development speed and system quality. Over time, your responsibilities will expand to include the maintenance and enhancement of other core internal systems, such as our International Small Parcel system.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain core WMS functionalities, UI components, and API integrations.
• Execute detailed design, coding, and unit/integration testing.
• Gather requirements and operational pain points directly from warehouse staff and internal stakeholders, translating them into system specifications and improvements.
• Provide operational support, perform bug fixes, and execute databases.
• Propose architectural improvements and technology selections for future feature expansions.

Required

• 2+ years of professional experience in Web system development.
• Hands-on development experience using Node.js and React.
• Experience with database design and query operation using RDBs (MySQL, PostgreSQL,etc.).
• Experience with team-based development using Git or other version control tools.
• Proactive problem-solver who can independently identify issues and take initiative.
• Strong communicator capable of collaborating smoothly not only with fellow engineers, but also with warehouse personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Empathetic developer who seeks to understand daily warehouse operations and builds userfriendly software.
• Highly motivated to learn new technologies and master business domain knowledge

Preferred

• Hands-on implementation and development experience using Next.js.
• Hands-on development experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), logistics/supply chain, or E-commerce platforms.
• Development and operational experience with external API integrations (e.g., Shopify, Gori API).
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) or integrating LLM APIs.
• Experience utilizing or implementing automation/workflow tools (e.g., N8N).
• Experience building or managing cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
• JavaScript、React、Svelte、CargoWise、AWS / Azure、DevOps
