Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a software developer to build and operate an in-house Warehouse Management System (WMS) in Compton, CA. You will address backlog while improving speed and quality, then expand to other internal logistics tools.

You will contribute to UI components, API integrations, and database tasks, working closely with a five-member software team. Experience in Node.js and React is required, with a strong focus on testing and operational support.

Position Summary

Develop, operate, and enhance an in-house Warehouse Management System (WMS). Initially, this role will focus on addressing a growing development backlog while improving development speed and system quality. Responsibilities will later expand to other core internal logistics systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WMS functionality, UI components, and API integrations.
• Perform detailed design, coding, and unit/integration testing.
• Gather requirements and operational challenges from warehouse staff and internal stakeholders and translate them into system improvements.
• Provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and perform database-related tasks.
• Recommend architectural and technology improvements for future development.
• Collaborate within a five-member software development team.

Required

• 2+ years of professional web system development experience.
• Hands-on Node.js and React development experience.
• RDB database design and query experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Team development experience using Git or similar version control tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with technical and operational teams.

Preferred

• Next.js development experience.
• WMS, logistics/supply chain, or e-commerce platform development experience.
• External API integration experience, such as Shopify or shipping/logistics APIs.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or LLM APIs (Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Automation/workflow tools such as n8n.
• AWS, GCP, or Azure experience.
• Japanese language ability.
