Warehouse Operations Manager / Customer Service
The Warehouse Operations Manager / Customer Service will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, staff management, customer service, and coordination with carriers and other logistics partners.
Candidates with warehouse or logistics management experience are preferred. However, candidates with relevant warehouse operations experience in other industries, such as manufacturing, wholesale, food, or trading companies, are also welcome to apply.
As a bilingual Japanese-English professional, this position will work closely with warehouse employees, customers, internal departments, logistics partners, and Japan-side teams to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations and high customer satisfaction.
1. Warehouse Operations
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, space management, and work scheduling.
Coordinate shipping and delivery arrangements with carriers, subcontractors, and other logistics partners.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
2. Staff Management
Supervise warehouse employees, including work assignments, staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
Provide guidance and support to employees and assist with resolving operational and personnel-related issues.
Ensure company policies and procedures are properly followed.
3. Customer Service & Coordination
Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints regarding orders, inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
Coordinate customer requirements with the Warehouse Operations team and provide updates as needed.
Communicate and coordinate with customers, internal departments, Japan-side teams, carriers, and other business partners.
4. Process Improvement & Administration
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
Maintain and update SOPs and operational documentation and prepare reports for management.
Support billing-related activities and other administrative tasks related to warehouse operations.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

$75,000–$90,000 per year
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications
Bilingual in Japanese and English
5+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in Warehouse Operations / Warehouse Management
Experience supervising or managing warehouse employees
Hands-on experience with receiving, shipping, inventory management, and other warehouse operations
Experience coordinating with customers, internal departments, carriers, or other logistics partners
Experience handling customer inquiries, complaints, and operational issues
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in logistics, 3PL, manufacturing, wholesale, food, or trading industries
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Experience with EDI / e-commerce operations
Experience coordinating or negotiating with carriers, logistics providers, or subcontractors
Experience with billing, cost management, budgeting, or P&L
Forklift knowledge or certification
Spanish language skills
