Job summary

Staffmark Group in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Japanese bilingual Business Development Staff to strengthen relationships with existing corporate clients in a hybrid role. You will drive growth through relationship management, not cold calling, with a base salary of $70K-$80K and a clear path to a Business Development Manager position.

You will collaborate with cross-border teams, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives while building a long-term, expanding book of business.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, and/or marketing in a corporate environment.
• Advanced-level fluency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Ability to obtain and maintain finance industry license after hire; training materials and support will be provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Track sales and business development progress by reviewing business goals, sales results, and market conditions.
• Support the Business Development Director with reports and updates for executives and senior management in Japan.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating contracts and agreements with existing and prospective U.S.-based insurance clients and business partners.
• Prepare and coordinate presentation and promotional materials for prospecting activities.
• Conduct market and industry research and share findings with the Business Development team.
• Meet with prospective clients in person or virtually to gather information on current insurance programs and future needs.
• Support the execution of the sales process, including prospecting, planning, and new business development.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support cross-selling, upselling, and client retention initiatives.
• Assist with quality assurance activities, including coordination between sales, account servicing, and carrier partners.
• Maintain and manage prospect data, sales activities, and related documentation.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, prospects, colleagues, and business partners.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
• Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
