Job summary

American Swim Academy in Fremont is seeking a dependable Custodian/Janitorial Team Member to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, families, and staff.

The schedule includes Friday 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, with uniform shirt provided, casual dress code, and a 50% discount on swim lessons for eligible family members.

Qualifications

• Custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility, including interior and exterior areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties in accordance with company standards.
• Safely use approved cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous attitude while working in a family-oriented environment.
• Clean and maintain the facility with minimal interruption to members and staff.
• Communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and management.

American Swim Academy is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodian/Janitorial Team Member to join our Fremont team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, families, and staff.

Schedule

• Friday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• $19.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Essential Functions

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility, including interior and exterior areas.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of custodial and cleaning duties safely and effectively.
