Job summary

American Swim Academy is seeking a dependable Custodian/Janitorial Team Member to join our Walnut Creek team. The role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, families, and staff.

Saturday and Sunday shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM offer hours to support the swim school operations. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, with a uniform shirt provided and a casual dress code.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Ability to recognize potential hazards and respond appropriately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility, including interior and exterior areas.
• Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties in accordance with company standards.
• Safely use approved cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and courteous attitude while working in a family-oriented environment.
• Clean and maintain the facility with minimal interruption to members and staff.
• Communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and management.
