Job summary

ServiceMaster in Northwest Houston is seeking part-time evening janitorial staff to maintain clean, healthy environments for customers, students, and campuses. Shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM across multiple positions, totaling up to 20 hours per week with varying Sunday–Thursday, Friday–Tuesday, or Wednesday–Saturday schedules.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
• Inventory — Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety — Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site Security — Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
• Additional Duties — Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.

Schedule — 4 Openings

All shifts run 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

• Position 1 — 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday – Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday
• Position 2 — 20 hrs/week | Works Friday – Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday
• Position 3 — 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday – Saturday | Off Sunday – Tuesday
