Job summary

ServiceMaster Cleaning Pros is seeking part-time evening janitorial staff for our Northwest Houston location to create cleaner, healthier environments for clients including schools and offices.

Two evening positions are available, each with a 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift and a focus on facility cleaning, inventory management, and safety compliance. On-the-job training is provided, and growth opportunities are available in a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus, but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience with a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking role.
• A positive attitude - in uniform, dependable, and on time.
• Respect for co-workers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning - Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean windows, and move furniture and equipment.
• Inventory - Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Safety - Use proper PPE where required, including hard-toe shoes, hard hat, and safety vest.
• Site Security - Open and lock facilities, and arm and disarm security systems as required.
• Additional Duties - Other duties as assigned.

About the Role

As part of our evening janitorial team in Northwest Houston, you'll create cleaner, healthier environments for our customers, their students, and the grounds.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Demands & Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead and forward.


• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.


• Ability to read cleaning instructions and distinguish between cleaning products and their proper uses.

Schedule - 2 Openings

All shifts run 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

• Position 1 - 20 hrs/week | Works Sunday - Thursday | Off Friday & Saturday


• Position 2 - 20 hrs/week | Works Friday - Tuesday | Off Wednesday & Thursday


• Position 3 - 16 hrs/week | Works Wednesday - Saturday | Off Sunday - Tuesday
